I grew up in Syracuse, New York where I enjoyed playing soccer, hanging out with friends and spending time with my family. After I graduated from high school in 2007, I attended Siena College where I studied French, Spanish and international business. It was not until I volunteered to help out in a friend's classroom that I discovered my love for teaching. I then returned to school to earn my Master's degree in Childhood Education and Special Education at Le Moyne College in Syracuse. In 2014 I moved to Portland, Maine with my husband where we enjoyed the amazing restaurants, beautiful running trails and, of course, the ocean! During this time I taught 6th grade Science in the Scarborough Public School District. Last year, we moved to Yarmouth and added a German Shepherd puppy named Mathis to our family. Over the summer I have enjoyed spending sunny days working in my garden, reading and traveling to see friends and family. In July, my family and I traveled to the Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon and Zion National Park where we did a lot of hiking and exploring nature. It was amazing to see such parts of the US that are so different from Maine!I am so excited to be living and working in such a wonderful community!
